Tele-consultation started for patients in Budgam

BUDGAM: Due to the rise of the positive cases in the district, the authorities on Friday have started Tele- consultation for the patients in the district in which Covid-19 related issues can be discussed with doctors upon the phone.
Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Tajamul Hussain Khan told the Kashmir Reader that the patients who have tested positive for covid-19 and are self quartatine in their homes can easily contact the doctors regarding any problem related to the Covid-19.
“20 doctors across the district Budgam have been given responsibility for the tele consultation for Covid-19 related issues in the district”He said.
Khan said that there will be two shifts of tele consultation which include a morning shift and an evening shift. Ten doctors will be available during the morning shift and ten doctors will attend the calls of the patients during the evening time.
“The tele-consultation will remain functional for all the days, The morning shift will be started from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and evening shift will be started from 5:00 PM – 9:00 Am, ” he said.
“All the Doctors have been given instructions to respond to phone calls immediately. If any doctor will be not attending the calls from the patients shall be dealt strictly as per the law, “he added.
