GANDERBAL: Naat and Qirat competitions organised by Daruloom Hanfia Kamaliya Gund Sonamarg were held at Markazi Hanfia Jamia Masjid Shareef Gund Sonamarg on Sunday.
The students from various educational institutions participated in the competition and performed with their soothing voices, evoking applause from the audience. The best-performing students were given awards, cash prizes and commendation certificates.
Speaking on the occasion, Molvi Ghulam Mohiudin Tantray, who was also the chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the participants for their enthusiastic participation. “Such programmes have a positive impact on the social and mental development of students,” he said.
Molvi Tantray highlighted the importance of moral values and said that inculcating moral and religious education among students helps them to lead a pious and civilised life.
