Srinagar: National Chief Coach India Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee) was given a rousing reception at Srinagar Airport on Sunday. The Indian Wushu team under his guidance got Silver medal in the 19th Asian Games at Hangzhou (China).
So far under his guidance from 2010 Indian Wushu team has secured 10 medals in the Asian Games so far. The National Wushu coaching camp for the preparation of the Indian Wushu team was conducted in four phases. The major portion of the camp was held in SKISC of J&K Sports Council Srinagar.
Maqsood Rather, Jt secretary of Wushu Association of J&K, Tariq Ahmed Lone, Shabir Ahmed, Kamal Kishore, Umer, Ramees, Sadia Tariq (International Gold medalist) were among those who received Kuldeep Handoo after his return from Asian Games.
