Shopian: Rabid dogs are in prowl in Shopian villages and over a dozen people including children have been injured so far. In Voterpora village, one dog was killed by the locals. A paramedic posted at immunization section of district hospital said that 15 people were given anti-rabies vaccination in the hospital so far, while as 10 were injured on Monday. He informed that people from Kundalan, Pinjora, Arhama and Pargochi villages have reported cases of dog bites and some among them have deep dog bites. Cases of dog bites in many Shopian villages has increased and people urged the administration to take steps to contain such incidents.
