NC Block President Pampore clarifies alleged title claim, resignation of former party leader

PAMPORE: Showkat Ahmad Shah, the legitimate Block President of the National Conference (NC) in Block Pampore, issued a press statement on Sunday to address recent assertions made by Abdul Rasheed Sheikh regarding his resignation from the NC and his claim to the position of Block President.
Sheikh, formerly associated with the NC, recently announced his decision to join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) while simultaneously asserting his purported title as the Block President of NC, Block Pampore. However, Showkat Ahmad Shah clarified that Abdul Rasheed Sheikh did not hold the title of Block President within the NC, Block Pampore, but rather served as a party worker.
“As the Block President of the National Conference, Block Pampore, I aim to provide clarity and rectify any misconceptions that may have arisen,” stated Shah in his press statement to Kashmir Reader.
He urged the public to dismiss any erroneous claims made by Sheikh regarding his position within the party, emphasizing that his assertion of being the Block President is baseless and misleading.
“It is regrettable that misinformation of this nature has been disseminated, underscoring the importance of fact-checking before accepting claims as accurate,” Shah remarked, highlighting the significance of transparency and honesty in political processes.
Showkat Ahmad Shah reaffirmed that Abdul Rasheed Sheikh did not hold the position of Block President of the National Conference, Block Pampore. He urged the public not to accord credibility to Sheikh’s recent statements and actions.
