Sopore: Police in Sopore organized drug de-addiction programmes at Police Station Sopore and Police Station Tarzoo. These programmes were attended by the students from different schools, members of civil society, traders’ federations, transporters and other respectable citizens of the nearby areas.

While speaking on these occasions, SDPO Sopore who attended both the programmes sought the public cooperation in eradicating the drug menace. He stressed that parents, teachers, guardians, heads of institutions, mohalla committees need to address the youth in order to save them from the scourge of drugs. Besides, DySP DAR Sopore highlighted the role of parents, teachers and other responsible members of society.

At the conclusion of these programmes, the participants thanked Sopore Police for conducting such awareness programmes. Later, sports kits were also distributed among the students of the area to enhance sports activities among youth.
