Nature has bestowed us with pure and healthy food in different forms. Every living creature consumes food, from simple to complex forms. Some consume liquid food, some solid food, as every living organism has a special and unique body structure, capability, and organs performing functions different from each other. Medical science is advancing by the day but at the same time we are gripped with lethal diseases as well.
We should keep in mind that food is the basic requirement of the body and must contain all basic components like vitamins, proteins, fibres, minerals, etc. It is not possible that we get all basic components within a single food item. We are supposed to eat various food items, that too on regular basis, to keep our body disease-free.
Our body needs an adequate amount of amount of calories on a daily basis. Most of us are well aware about the benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh green leafy vegetables are beneficial for our good health as they contain vitamins, fibres, and minerals like iron, calcium, etc. In my articles I have been trying to make people aware about the benefits of vegetables, eggs, milk, etc, so that they know what are the best food items that they must consume regularly. Today I will let you know about the benefits of green chilli, which has been used in condiments (for flavour), like chutney, pickles, etc, in Indian culture for centuries.
Green chilli is cultivated in different parts of the world, from small-scale to large-scale. Green chilli improves bowel movement and reduces risk of ulcers. It maintains cell health and prevents cell damage by reducing blood cholesterol levels in the body. Green chilli plays a beneficial role in protecting heart attack and stroke. It contains fibres which are beneficial for diabetic patients. Green chilli is packed with iron, thus improves haemoglobin and helps the body fight against fatigue and weakness. It contains Vitamin B which increases the energy level in the body. It is packed with calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium which help and maintain bone health. The antioxidant properties of green chillies protect the body against free radicals.
Green chilli also stimulates the respiratory system and provides relief during sinus and cold infections. It also improves blood circulation. Green chilli is rich in Vitamin C which improves the immune system. Those who have stomach-ache or some other allergic issues may avoid its consumption.
