Leopard caught a CITH Rangreth

BUDGAM: The wildlife department captured a Leopard during Sunday late evening at Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture(CITH) Kralpora Rangreth at Chadoora tehsil in Central Kashmir Budgam district.
Bashir Ahmad Bhat, block officer from wildlife control room Chadoora told the Kashmir Reader that after the wildlife department received information roaming of the Leopards in the area. The Wildlife department has searched the whole area and have fixed the cage into the spot.
According to officials a female Leopard has been caught alive within 24 hours of time period after setting up of the cages , without injury to any one, ” Bhat said.
He said that since the two cages have been fixed, there is chances the Leopards may be living there. The people need to follow the guidelines which the wildlife department has already issued for the safety of the people.
“This year we have captured a lot of leopards in the district. The people need to call the wildlife department in case the Leopard is sighting in any area of the Budgam district. So, we can catch these, ” he said.
