BARAMULLA: Continuing the month-long sports activities under the flagship initiatives “My Youth My Pride (MYMP)” and “VarmullGindo”, the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council on Thursday successfully organised the District Volleyball Championship and District Handball and pancaksilat Championship at the Indoor Stadium, Baramulla.
The championships witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of boys and girls, reflecting the growing interest of youth in sports and the commitment of the Sports Council towards promoting grassroots sporting talent.
The events provided a competitive platform for young athletes to showcase their skills while encouraging discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle. These activities were conducted under the directions of Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, and under the guidance of Krupali Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, Kashmir, whose continuous support and leadership have been instrumental in strengthening sports development across the Kashmir Division.
The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council remains committed to organising such sporting events to engage youth positively, identify emerging talent, and foster a vibrant sporting culture throughout the region.
