ERSS team rushes to aid elderly woman after road mishap

SRINAGAR: An Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) of the Emergency Response Support System-ERSS (Dial-112) of PCR Kashmir, during routine patrol near the AG’s Office, Srinagar, noticed an elderly woman who had fallen from a moving auto-rickshaw and immediately rushed to provide timely assistance.
The ERV personnel took the injured woman, identified as Ameena Begum (80), wife of Late Habibullah Najar, a resident of Dalgate, to SMHS Hospital for immediate medical treatment. The ERSS team also informed the family members, who promptly reached the hospital. The swift response and timely intervention ensured that the injured woman received immediate medical attention without delay.
The ERSS helpline (Dial 112) is a 24×7 integrated emergency service of J&K Police (One Nation, One Number), providing prompt response for incidents such as accidents, law and order situations, medical emergencies, fire incidents, and distress calls, including those involving women and children. J&K Police urged the general public to actively utilize the services of ERSS for immediate assistance in case of any emergency.
