GDC Pattan students visit Angora Rabbit Breeding Farm

Wusan: The students of Government Degree College Pattan visited the Angora Rabbit Breeding Farm Wusan, Palhallan, Pattan on Tuesday.
The farm which is the oldest Rabbit Rearing Farm in Kashmir (Established in 1962)works under the ages of SKUAST-K.
The experts of the farm including Dr. Irfan acquainted the students about the various breeds of Rabbit that are bred in the farm, which include Angora (German & French), New Zealand White, Soviet Chinchilla, Grey Giant and Dutch. He made the students aware about the breeding, feeding, rearing and disease control of the rabbits. He was lucid while communicating with the students. The faculty that accompanied the students were Prof. Sajad Sarvar, Dr. Rehana and Majeed.
