Drug peddlers held in Baramulla, cases registered

BARAMULLA: Police on Monday said that they held four more drug peddlers in this north Kashmir district of Baramulla. Police said that police under the supervision of Syed Sajad Bukhari DSP headquarters Baramulla assisted by inspector Waseem Jahangir, SHO Sheeri recovered 40 Kgs of Poppy Straw like substance from the house of Ghulam Nabi Dar son of Mohammad Shafi Dar resident of Paliharan Sheeri.
Similarly, three drug peddlers namely Qazi Burhan son of Abdul Hameed, Qazi Asif son of Qazi Dawood Ahmad both residents of Qazipora Delina and Imran Ahmad Sofi son of Gulam Qadir Sofi resident of Rawathpora Delina at Behrampora and recovered 2 grams of Brown Sugar like substance from Qazi Burhan, 3 Kgs of Poppy Straw like substance from Qazi Asif and 2 Kgs of Poppy Straw like substance from Imran Ahmad Sofi.
Police said that separate cases were registered against the all accused under relevant sections of law and further investigation is going on.
