BANDIPORA: Able Hand Foundation (AHF) on Tuesday celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) with enthusiasm and active public participation at Dak Bungalow, Sumbal.
The event was chaired by JKTF UT General Secretary Mir Bashir Ahmad and was attended by AHF Chairperson Naziya Hurrah, Gh Mohammad, Mohammad Shafi, students, social activists, and members of civil society.
The programme began with an inaugural address by AHF Chairperson Naziya Hurrah, who highlighted the organisation’s commitment to rehabilitation, education, and comprehensive support services for persons with disabilities. She stressed the importance of inclusivity and collective responsibility in empowering PwDs.
Guest speakers on the occasion lauded AHF for its sustained efforts in providing continuous care and improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
On the occasion, warm winter clothing was also distributed among students by the Able Hand Foundation.
The programme concluded with a renewed call for inclusive policies and greater community involvement to ensure dignity and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.
