SRINAGAR: In a bid to woo voters in Rajpora Assembly Constituency, BJP National Executive Member and J&K Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi led a massive road show and rally in Pulwama district yesterday. The event covered 16 villages and townships, culminating in a huge election rally at Qasbayar.
Dr Andrabi, accompanied by BJP candidate Arshad Bhat, was greeted with tremendous enthusiasm at all halt points in the localities. The cavalcade was showered with flowers, cheers, and applause as it made its way through the towns and villages.
In her address, she hailed the BJP’s vision of development, which she said represents the people’s aspirations. She thanked the young for their fight for change in these elections and emphasized the need for a peaceful and progressive Jammu and Kashmir.
“The BJP has freed Indian politics from dynasts and political dividers,” Dr Darakhshan said. “We have brought peace and prosperity to Jammu and Kashmir, saving the young from being killed on a daily basis.”
She highlighted the achievements of the BJP-led government, including the construction of roads and highways, medical facilities, and welfare schemes for various sections of society. “We have implemented our vision of a peaceful and progressive Jammu and Kashmir at the ground level, changing the lives of our people for all good,” she said.
Dr Andrabi appealed to the youth to support the vision of BJP and the dynamism of candidate Arshad Bhat, whose public service records speak for his sincerity and dedication. “Let us work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and our children,” she urged.
The rally was attended by thousands of people, who were visibly enthusiastic about the BJP’s agenda for Jammu and Kashmir. The event was seen as a major boost for the party’s prospects in the upcoming elections.
Dr Andrabi concluded by saying that “BJP has given bloodshed to Kashmir, but dynasts gave bloodshed to Kashmir” highlighting the party’s commitment to peace and prosperity in the region.
