Sub District Hospital Pampore gets new portable 100MA digital X-ray machine

BMO hails Director Health for enhancing healthcare services for all

PAMPORE: In a significant advancement for patient care, the Sub District Hospital in Pampore has installed a new portable digital 100MA mobile X-ray machine. This latest equipment is set to revolutionize the way X-rays are conducted within the hospital, offering immediate and convenient imaging services directly in the wards and operation theatres.
Doctors at the Sub District Hospital Pampore have expressed their optimism about the impact of this new addition. The mobile X-ray machine allows for on-the-spot imaging for both admitted patients and those requiring emergency X-rays during surgical procedures.
“This development eliminates the previous need for patients to be transported from wards to the X-ray department, which often resulted in delays and discomfort,” officials told Kashmir Reader.
With this new facility, patients will experience a significant improvement in their care. The ability to perform X-rays directly in the ward or operation theatre not only speeds up the diagnostic process but also enhances patient comfort and safety by reducing unnecessary movement within the hospital.
The hospital administration believes this will be a major benefit for both patients and medical staff, streamlining operations and ensuring quicker diagnosis and treatment. This installation marks a substantial step forward in enhancing the quality of healthcare services at the Sub District Hospital in Pampore.
Block Medical Officer Pampore Dr Asima Nazir congratulated the health team during the installation of the new portable digital X-ray machine at SDH Pampore, emphasizing the significant benefits patients admitted to wards or undergoing emergency procedures in the operation theatre will receive from this advanced technology.
Speaker to Kashmir Reader, Registered Medical Officer (RMO) Dr Bilal Ahmad said, “We have received two new portable digital 100MA X-ray machines, one for Pampore and one for PHC Kakapora. The machine has already been installed here in Pampore, and another one has been installed in Kakapora. This will bring significant benefits to both locations, providing much-needed convenience and improved healthcare services to the patients in these areas.”
He added, “Block Medical Officer (BMO) Pampore, Dr Asima Nazir, our Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, are doing excellent work installing digital X-ray machines in the SDH Pampore and PHC Kakapora. Previously, such facilities were only available in associated hospitals, but now, thanks to our Director’s initiative, these facilities are reaching every corner. For example, we didn’t have digital x-ray machines before, but now we do, and they are operational. Today, we have also installed a portable digital X-ray machine, which has increased our hospital’s capacity. Previously, patients, such as those in orthopaedics, or those requiring general or gynaecological care, had to be shifted to the theatre for X-rays, causing them discomfort as they had to be moved up and down using lifts to x-ray.”
