Pulwama: Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme distributed full sports kits among various cricket teams, sewing machines among skilled NOKs of slain police personnel/officers and wheelchairs among needy people of district Pulwama.
The distribution ceremony was attended by SSP Pulwama Mohd Yousif-JKPS, DySP DAR & other officers of District Police Pulwama.
“On the occasion, SSP Pulwama interacted with all the beneficiaries including specially-abled persons, cricket teams and Noks of Police martyrs including their families and assured them Police will always play its eminent role in providing every possible support to the needy people,” police said in a statement.
He also asked the beneficiaries not to allow the poverty and orphanage to fall prey off ignorance & illiteracy. SSP Pulwama also advised the beneficiaries not indulge in any criminal/subversive activities. The participants requested SSP Pulwama that such more events should be organized in the district to have good interaction and relationship with common masses and police as well.
