Enthusiastic participation witnessed
POONCH: The Private Schools’ Association Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK), District Poonch, on Wednesday successfully commenced its three-day Teachers’ Upskilling Workshop with an overwhelming response from private schools across the district. The inaugural session witnessed the participation of a large number of teachers and school representatives, reflecting the teaching fraternity’s commitment to continuous professional development.
Addressing the inaugural session, Mr. Wahid Ahmad Banday, District President, PSAJK Poonch, emphasized the importance of regular capacity building for teachers in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape. He stated that empowering educators with modern pedagogical practices, classroom management techniques, digital learning tools, and effective assessment strategies is essential for improving learning outcomes and preparing students for future challenges.
The first day of the workshop focused on strengthening the professional competencies of teachers through interactive sessions on effective teaching strategies, classroom management, student engagement and motivation. Participants actively engaged in discussions and practical learning activities aimed at enhancing their classroom effectiveness.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Banday appreciated the remarkable participation from schools across Poonch and reiterated PSAJK’s commitment to organizing such quality training programmes for the welfare of the teaching community. He said that the association will continue to work towards equipping teachers with the skills and knowledge required to meet the demands of 21st-century education.
The three-day workshop will continue over the next two days with sessions on ICT integration, personality development, communication skills, and modern assessment and evaluation methods, benefiting teachers from across the district.
