SHOPIAN: The District Administration Shopian today asked the general public to approach their respective BDO offices for the purpose of new registration of births and deaths, instead of SHO offices.
The decision was taken in consonance with the recent Govt order as per which BDOs have been notified as Registrars of Births and Deaths for institutional/ domiciliary in rural areas.
This release has been necessitated in view of instances of people approaching SHO offices rather than BDO offices for the purpose of registration.
