BARAMULLA: A daily wager of public health engineering (PHE) also known as Jal Shakti department was injured in a bear attack in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday morning.
Family sources of the employee said that Anayatullah Kandal son of Ghulam Qadir Kandal of Paldeji Narvaw area of Baramulla was injured in bear attack when he was onway to attend his duty at Sultanpora Baramulla when a black bear attacked him outside his village.
They said that soon after the attack he raised an alarm and some people nearby reached the spot and chased the beast. The injured was later shifted to government medical college Baramulla for treatment, where his condition is said to be stable now.
The officials of the wildlife department said that they have sent a team of officials to the area and they will also install a cage in the area to catch the beast.
