FDP on Cyber Security in Digital Era concludes at BGSBU

SRINAGAR: One Week Online Faculty Development Program on “Cyber Security in Digital Era” organized by the Department of Computer Sciences, BGSB University, Rajouri, J&K concluded on Friday .Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor, BGSB University congratulated the department for the successful conduct of the FDP. Prof. Akbar said that the objective of this FDP was to enhance the vision of faculty members and research scholars, by exposing them to the recent developments that are taking place in cyber security. Prof.Akbar extolled the participants for attending the FDP and said that they should always keep abreast of recent trends and technologies and emerging areas to meet the requirements of the industry.
The FDP saw an overwhelming participation of 380 participants from various parts of India and abroad.During the FDP domain experts were invited as resource persons from several prestigious institutes like Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia, University of Delhi, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, as well as from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) – Government of India. On the last day of the FDP, Dr. S. K. Naqvi, (Addl. Director), FTK-Center for Information Technology from Jamia Millia Islamia spoke at length about the Network Security.The valedictory function was presided over by Prof. G.M. Malik, Dean of Students Welfare, BGSB University.
Those who were present on the occasion included Prof. Asif Hussain, Dean, SoMCS, BGSB University, Dr. Majid Malik, HoD Computer Sciences, faculty members and research scholars of the department. Dr. Mohd. Naseem, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, presented the report of the FDP and Dr. Gulfam Ahamad, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Sciences presented a formal vote of thanks.
