Hajin: Government Degree College Hajin conducted the second phase of vaccination drive under the theme—- “One Month Mega Vaccination Drive” for its staff and students. The drive was inaugurated by the Principal G.D.C Hajin, Prof. (Dr.) Huda Galzai along with the B.M.O Hajin, Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Kant in the college campus.
The other faculty members Dr.Fayrooz Ahmad and Prof. Nahida Naseem was also present on the occasion. The members of the non teaching staff provided crucial logistical support in organising this drive.
The Principal welcomed the officials of the Community Health Centre Hajin for rendering their professional services. B.M.O Hajin appreciated the concerted efforts undertaken by the institution for getting the students vaccinated on its campus. He also appreciated the role of the rally taken on 11-08-2021 in motivating the locals to get vaccine doses, and suggested the college authorities take another rally across Hajin town for spreading awareness among the general public regarding the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine. Moreover, Dr.Hilal Ahmad Parray, faculty economics gave a talk to the students on the ‘Importance of saving life in the light of Quranic perspective’.
It is pertinent to mention that taking note of the suggestion of the B.M.O Hajin, the college authorities have decided to hold another rally on 2nd Sept, 2021 across the Hajin town. The rally would hopefully play a critical role in sensitising the general masses about the significance of the Covid-19 vaccine and also in subverting the rumours associated with it.
The total number of vaccines administered till date stands at 119.
