PAMPORE: 75th Independence Day 2021 was celebrated in Awantipora and Pampore areas with great fervor wherein tricolor was unfurled at District Police Lines Awantipora, Tehsil office Pampore, Townhall Pampore, BDO Office Pampore, Police Station Awantipora, Police establishments, various Schools, Municipal committees BDC offices, IUST Awantipora and Panchayat ghars.
The Chairmans on the occasion extended his warmest greetings and highlighted various developmental works.
The main function was held at Police District Lines Awantipora in which Municipal Committee Awantipora Chairman Bilal Ahmad Bhat as chief guest unfurled the national flag and inspected the Parade.

SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf (JKPS), DySP DAR DPL Awantipora Syed Fayaz Ahmad besides other senior officers of civil administration and Police Department were present on the occasion. The parade was commanded by SDPO Tral Dr Aejaz Ahmad.
The march past was presented by the Contingent of District Police Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police, CRPF, department of youth Service and Sports, health department,and home guard.
Besides, colorful cultural programmes were presented and awards were given to the best performers by the chief guest.
A Good number of people witnessed the function as elaborate security arrangements were made by the District Police Awantipora on this behalf.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din unfurled the national flag at Tehsil office Pampore where a large number of employees of revenue and other departments were present on the occasion.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Municipal Committee Pampore Chairman Malik Mohammad Yaqoob unfurls the national flag in presence of Executive Officer Mohammad Iqbal, all employees of the Municipal Committee Pampore and councillors of Municipal Committee on 75th Independence Day at Townhall Pampore.

A number of Rural Development department employees and others were present on the occasion.
The Independence Day flag hoisting function was also held in IUST Awantipora and various government boys, girls higher secondaries and other education Institutions including Pampore, Khrew, Ladhoo and Government Degree College Pampore with great enthusiasm. Principal and heads of the Colleges and schools unfurled the national flag in presence of staff and students. Sweets were distributed among students and staff.
