HANDWARA: Police on Wednesday fished out the body of man from a local stream in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
On Wednesday morning some local people spotted a body in Nala Puhroo in Handwara and they inform the local police. Later a team of police reached the spot and fish out the body, they identify the deceased as Ghulam Ahmad Mir 70 alias Amm Darvesh, resident of Bunpora Langate Handwara.
Mir was missing from past few days and according to people was having an unsound mind. The body was later handed over to his family for last rites after all legal formalities at district hospital Handwara.
Meanwhile, Handwara police register a case under relevant sections of law and investigation has been started.
