Work on civic projects under progress in Pampore: MC chairman

PAMPORE: Chairman Municipal Committee Pampore Malik Mohammad Yaqoob visited Saffron town Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district to review progress on various developmental works.
He held a detailed meeting with officers of various departments and officials of Flood Control department including Executive Engineer, AEE of flood control department, Municipal Committee officials and councillors of Municipal Committee Pampore.
Malik also met various locals of the area at Townhall Pampore and listened to their issues. He said that he visited Kalib Kadil Drangbal area to inspect progress of work going on for developing a public park and a taxi stand.
“Rs 35 lakh has been released for the public park and 15 lakh for developing the stand over one kanal of land,” Malik told Kashmir Reader, adding that Rs 1.66 lakh has been earmarked for construction of slaughter house and public toilets.
Malik said that work has been started for drainage system and laying of lanes in Noorani colony and Frestabal area of Pampore.
