Tehsildar Pampore stresses on following Covid SOPs religiously

PAMPORE: Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din on Thursday held a meeting with various factions of society to discuss Standard of Procedures (SOPs) as fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from various parts of the valley. The stakeholders included all prayer leaders of mosques (imams), mosque administrations (majid intizamia), civil society members, traders and transporters from nook and corners of Pampore administrative block at his office at Pampore.
The meeting was attended by General Secretary Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore Mohammad Sultan Shah, Trade president Abdul Majeed Bhat, Civil society member Mohammad Yousuf Malik, Haji Abdul Razaq Ganaie.
He warned the factions not to violate SOPs as the administration would act stringently against the violators particularly the persons shouldering responsibility, officials told Kashmir Reader.
In order to follow SOPs, the Tehsildar met the factions separately and held the meeting in five sessions in order to have social distance and other SOPs in place. He gave strict directions to local mosque prayer leaders and administrators to have social distance and masks to those attending the prayers. He also stressed the traders and transporters to follow 50 percent criteria.
“ the traders have to follow the odd even formula in which only fifty percent shops would remain open and the public transport would ply with just 50 percent capacity,” Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader, adding that all the rules of wearing masks and social distance must be adhered by in letter and spirit and warned the violators to be ready for paying fines and visiting the prisons. The administration has ordered a partial lock down and has already suspended class work in schools from from April 8.
