Awantipora: 7-A Side Football Tournament being organised by the Directorate of Physical Education, Islamic University of Science and Technology kick starts at the University Campus here on Tuesday.
Registrar IUST Prof. Naseer Iqbal, while inaugurating the tournament as Chief Guest, congratulated and encouraged the students for their active participation in sports. He assured every possible support to students and department as well. The inaugural match played between Department of Management Studies and Department of Food Technology was electrifying during which Management Studies won the match by 5:1 goals.
Earlier, Assistant Director Physical Education, Dr Hilal Rather welcomed the Chief Guest and briefed about the sports activities that Directorate is going to conduct during this year and hailed the hard work of the staff assisting in sports activities.
