Baramulla: Two women killed in a tragic road accident in Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday afternoon.
Locals said that two women were walking along the roadside near the Hadipora area of Rafiabad Baramulla on Baramulla-Handwara road when a speedy four wheeler Sumo vehicle hit them, resulting both the women were down in pool of blood and the driver of the vehicle escaped from the spot. Soon after the accident large number of people reached the spot and shifted the injured ladies to nearby health centre where both were declare as bought dead.
The deceased women were identified as Saleema wife of Bashir Ahmad Mir and Fatima wife of Mohammad Yousuf Mir residents of Hadipora Rafiabad Baramulla.
Meanwhile, a team of police reached the spot and register a case against the incident; the police also start a hunt to arrest the driver of the vehicle who ran from the spot.
