One more succumb in Pampore battery blast incident

PAMPORE: One more person has succumbed to injuries from Pamore battery blast on Thursday taking the death toll to two so far. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Shafeeqa Akhtar, daughter of Ghulam Nabi Mir, resident of Zantrag Khrew. On Wednesday evening, a 26-year-old Shabir Ahmad Mir, son Ghulam Nabi died and his two other sisters Gulshana Akhtar, Shafeeqa Akhtar and a cousin brother were injured seriously in the battery blast. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the solar battery blasted in a residential house of Ghulam Nabi Mir at Zantrag village, a police officer told Kashmir Reader resulting into the injures of four family members including Ghulam Nabi’s son Shabir Ahmad, two daughters identified as Gulshana Akhtar (24), Shafeeqa Akhtar (20) and his nephew aged seven-year Faisal Ahmad.
