Srinagar: J & K +2 PSC Lecturers’ Association on Tuesday hailed the decision of School Education Department where all the gazetted teachers of the department have been asked to donate 2-day’s salary and non-gazetted teachers one-day salary to Covid-19 mitigation Fund. The Association in a statement said that it had already proposed and made its intentions clear to provide financial help to the administration to fight this pandemic. It said that the lecturers recruited under Special Recruitment Rule 2015(SRO-202) have desired to donate their medical allowance in addition twodays salary for the benefit of desiring and needy people. It further said that hundreds of its cadres were presently working with the administration as Covid-19 nodal officers. The statement said that in order to mitigate the sufferings of the student community and to compensate their academic loss, it had created a YouTube channel “the lecturers association” to provide free subject-specific lectures and other study material for class 11 and 12 students and other technological means to engage the students in a fruitful and student-friendly manner.
