Program held at DPL Handwara

HANDWARA: Police in Handwara held awareness session on the precautionary measures required to be taken to protection from the infection of Coronavirus The programme that was held under the supervision of SP Handwara Dr G V Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS was held at the conference hall of DPL Handwara in which the fficers , police personnel , CAPF personnel were briefed by the health department experts of Handwara on precautionary measures required for protection from the virus. Speaking during the session SP Chakravarthy-IPS, Dr Nazir Ahmad, Dr Javid Iqbal, Dr Azhar Masoodi and Dr Barat informed the participants not to panic and just follow some precautionary measures to protect themselves and their families from the virus. While deliberating, they said that symptoms of Coronavirus are similar to any other upper respiratory infection including running nose, coughing, sore throat and sometimes a fever may arise within two days as early of 14 days followed by a trend history of the infected or his contact with any person who has a trend history. They said that best precautionary measures for Coronavirus is to wash your hands before, during and after preparing food, before eating, after toilet use, when hands are visibly dirty, after handling animals and animals wastage, after handshakes, after coughing and sneezing. During deliberation they said that while coughing and sneezing, all persons should cover the face with fixed elbow or tissue and un-necessary touching of face by hand should be avoided
