Independent MLA and AIP chief Er Rasheed on Wednesday staged a protest against the proposed implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the state.
Rasheed was joined by scores of his supporters who were shouting slogans against the GST. Later, police detained dozens of Rasheed’s supporters.
Rasheed said that the tax law would end the fiscal autonomy of the state.
A special session of legislative assembly is going on since yesterday to debate the implementation of the GST bill.
