A high alert has been sounded in Punjab’s border district of Pathankot after a suspicious bag was found near Mamun military station on Sunday night, reports said.

A search operation has been initiated by the Army, along with SWAT commandos.

According to the reports, three Army uniforms were recovered from the gunny sack found on Monday.

Two mobile tower batteries were also recovered from the bags after a search by officials.

Pertinently, an Air Force station in Pathankot was attacked in January last year by heavily armed terrorists in which seven Army jawans were killed.
