‘Ensure uninterrupted power, water supply during Ramadan’ directs Minister

Minister of State for Haj & Auqaf, PHE and Irrigation & Flood Control, Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today urged concerned functionaries to make sure that regular power, water supply is provided to people during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the statement Minister said this during his visit to Budgam district where he visited Aribagh, B K Pora and Kanpora and took stock of power and drinking water supply being provided to the people of these areas.

“The Minister also interacted with locals and listened to concerns, problems being faced by them. He assured them that their genuine demands would be addressed by concerned departments well in time,” the statement said.

While taking note of the problems with regards to power, water supply, he directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted supply to habitants during the month of Ramadan

The Minister, as per the statement said that “the government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has taken various revolutionary and people friendly steps for the fast development of the State, and urged people to come forward and take benefit of various welfare schemes.”

During his visit, he also inspected 10 MGD Water Treatment Plant Tangnar and directed the concerned officers to speed up the work.

Chief Engineer PHE G M Bhat, Superintendent Engineer PHE Imtiyaz Ahmad, Executive Engineer Chadoora Afrooz Ahmad among other senior officers accompanied the Minister during the tour.
