Dozens of people marched through the streets of the city’s business center denouncing the jailing of Aasiya Andrabi and her colleague Sofi Fahmeeda in Jammu prison.

Terming it as state terrorism the protestors demanded that the jailed political leaders should be released immediately. After reaching near Budshah chowk protesters sat down and some leaders addressed the protestors, saying New Delhi has waged a war against the population of Jammu and Kashmir.

One leader said that Aasiya Andrabi is suffering from multiple ailments and shifting her and her colleague to Jammu jail has put their lives in danger. The leaders warned the government that if anything should happen to the two, the government would be responsible for all the consequences.
