Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service resumes

The ‘Karvan-e-Aman’ bus service between Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-administered Kashmir resumed on Monday after remaining suspended for one week.

Last week the bus service was stopped due to the anti-militancy operation in the Uri sector. The army, last week, did not allow the bus to cross fearing that attack on the bus by the militants.

25 passengers were sent back from the Uri to Srinagar and passengers from the Pakistan-administered Kashmir were not allowed to cross the border.
