SRINAGAR: A Literary team from University of Kashmir (KU) led by its Cultural Officer, Shahid Ali Khan, represented the Indian delegation in the 7th South Asian University Festival (SAUFEST) hosted by Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Punjab.
A KU statement said that the event is organized by Association of Indian Universities and Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India and facilitated by UGC.
The statement said that the KU team comprising of Zubair Ahmad from The Business School, KU and Zain-Ul-Abidin from North Campus, represented India in the elocution and public speaking events in the festival after winning in the zonal and all India national level competitions.
“The performance of KU students in the said event was much appreciated by all the delegates of this festival,” the statement said.
The statement said that both the students while representing India in elocution and public speaking events maintained that these festivals bring together students from different cultures and traditions which help in regional as well as national integration.
