SRINAGAR: In a significant development, Er. Aijaz Hussain has been nominated as State Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir).
The announcement was made by State BJP President Sat Sharma, in consultation with National President J.P. Nadda and National General Secretary & J&K Incharge Tarun Chugh.
This new responsibility comes in addition to his present role as Co-Incharge of the BJP Minority Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory.
Er. Aijaz Hussain has a distinguished record of service within the party organization. He has earlier served as National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Incharge for West Bengal and Chandigarh, working extensively across various states to strengthen the party’s youth wing.
A dynamic and committed leader from Srinagar, he has been at the forefront of several major BJP campaigns in the Valley and has played a crucial role in expanding the party’s grassroots base in challenging regions.
Er. Hussain also made history by becoming the first BJP leader to secure a victory in the District Development Council (DDC) elections from Kashmir, representing the Khonmoh constituency. He further contested the Lal Chowk Assembly segment, symbolizing the BJP’s growing political presence and confidence in the heart of Srinagar.
Expressing gratitude for his nomination, Er. Aijaz Hussain thanked the party leadership for their continued faith and encouragement. He reaffirmed his resolve to work with renewed dedication under the guidance of senior leaders to strengthen the BJP’s organizational structure and promote the agenda of peace, development, and inclusiveness across Jammu & Kashmir.
