SRINAGAR: Indian Army’s Chinar Corps organised World Health Day Awareness Programme at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Lagama, Uri on Tuesday, reaffirming its commitment to community outreach and youth development.
The event aimed at promoting health awareness, encouraging a disciplined and healthy lifestyle amongst the youth. Chinar Warriors delivered informative sessions on personal hygiene, sanitation, preventive healthcare and the importance of a balanced diet. A focused lecture on drug abuse highlighting its harmful effects was presented and the youth were urged to remain vigilant and contribute to a drug-free society. The programme also emphasised upon physical fitness and mental resilience, motivating students to participate in sports and adopt positive health practices.
The initiative strengthened the outreach and effectively enhanced awareness on overall well-being of the society. The Indian Army remains steadfast in its endeavours to strengthen Military Civil relations and contribute towards the holistic development of the populace of Kashmir.
