Dr Shahid Amin honoured for excellence in business consulting
SRINAGAR: Dr Shahid Amin, a noted academician and regular columnist for Kashmir Reader, was recently honoured at the 30th Convocation of the All India Management Association (AIMA), held at the Habitat World, India Habitat Centre (IHC), New Delhi. He was awarded for the successful completion of the Advanced Certificate Programme in Business Consulting.
This highly practical course by AIMA is designed to nurture consulting skills, with a pedagogy oriented towards providing participants with hands-on consultancy experience. The programme attracts experienced professionals, including top-level executives, and assesses them through a Comprehensive Examination, Consultancy Proposal, and Viva-voce. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills to act as effective business and management consultants, enabling them to guide organisations in overcoming critical challenges.
Currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Convener of the Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) at ITM, Gwalior, Dr Shahid Amin is also an alumnus of the Faculty Development Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and a life member of AIMA.

Originally from Tral in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Shahid Amin has consistently contributed to management education, entrepreneurial development, and thought leadership through his writings. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family, mentors, friends, well-wishers, and students for their unwavering support. His recognition on a national platform like AIMA is a proud moment for the region and a source of inspiration for emerging professionals.
