GANDERBAL: In connection with the series of youth-centric events under the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP), “Fostering Engagement and Leadership in the Developmental Transformation of India,” Dean Students Welfare, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) organised essay competition titled “Ideathon: Vision for Viksit Bharat@ 2047” at Tulmulla and Poster Competition themed “India’s Vision of a Developed Nation” at Nuner Campus on Thursday and Friday respectively.
The events brought together enthusiastic students who showcased their innovative ideas and forward-thinking visions aligned with India’s ambitious development goals for the year 2047. The competitions served as a platform for young minds to express their perspectives on shaping a developed India, encouraging critical thinking and creative problem-solving regarding the nation’s future trajectory. Participants presented a diverse range of ideas, reflecting a deep engagement with the theme and a commitment to national progress.
The essay competition event was managed by Dr. Firdous A Sofal and Dr. Rehana Shawl, Youth Welfare Officer, DSW while the poster competition event was managed by Dr. Shahnaz Parveen , Dr. Prashant Gupta and Dr. Samreen Geelani. The Jury for the poster competition comprised Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Dr. Shahzad Ahmad Pandith, Coordinator, Department of Botany, Cuk. After thorough deliberation, the jury selected three exceptional posters as the winners of the competition. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes were awarded to Nighat Fatima, Wani Bilal, Farhana Ashraf respectively. The winners shall be felicitated on 06th August, 2025.
Addressing the participants during the essay competition, the speakers said, “The essays reflect the intellectual clarity and moral compass of our students. They’re not writing history—they’re scripting the future.”
Speaking during the poster competition, the speakers said, “Posters are universal languages. These visuals speak of dreams to be realized.” “When students pick up the brush, they’re doing more than painting—they’re participating in nation-building.”
Nodal Officer-Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme, Dr. Adil Amin Nazki was also present at both the events.
