SRINAGAR: The All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Association organized and hosted a grand felicitation ceremony in honour of recently promoted higher secondary school principals. The impressive gathering was attended by the newly elevated principals and lecturers from across the Kashmir Division.
On the occasion the speakers highlighted the role of teachers in shaping the destiny of a nation. The speakers highlighted the role of principals as teachers, guides, managers, administrators and mentors in institution building and shaping the personality of the students.
The speakers vowed to play all possible roles in bringing visible improvement in quality of education not only at school level but also at cluster level by optimum sharing of resources in accordance with the vision of NEP2020. The president of the association besides highlighting the need for addressing the infrastructural and human resource gaps in the schools also requested the authorities to resolve the long pending issue of career progression to address the stagnation at +2 level and other issues brought into the notice of authorities from time to time.
The chief guest on the occasion, G.N Itoo, Director School Education Kashmir highlighted the role of teachers in developing an efficient and productive society by shaping it future viz. the students. He also emphasized strengthening of school cluster system with optimum sharing of resources and building rapport with community people to promote community owner and timely achievement of the set goals. The chief guest extended best wishes to all the newly elevated principals and stressed for collaborative efforts in taking the school education to new standards.
