KULGAM: In continuation with ongoing drive, Child Welfare Committee (CWC) District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and Child Help line (CHL) Kulgam on Sunday carried out an intensive anti-Child Labour and anti-Child Beggary drive under Pan India Rescue and campaign at Yaripora and Frisal Tehsils of Kulgam.
During the drive, one child was rescued, and after proper counseling the child was handed-over to parents/ Guardian on spot.
The main objective of this drive was to eradicate this menace at grassroots level. The children are assets of our future, so it is the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to have proper care and protection of all children in District Kulgam.
Further the general public was appealed to support Mission Vatsalya Kulgam including the Child Welfare Committee, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and Child Help Line (CHL) for non involvement of children in labour activities.
