‘Today Is The Architect Of Tomorrow’: Kashmir’s Only Path To Survival And Growth

Must read

Let us say goodbye to laziness, stop relying only on government jobs, study to open our minds, build an economic rebirth through local businesses, and step out of the dark shadows of past trauma. When Kashmir’s youth masters the use of TODAY, Kashmir’s TOMORROW will naturally become a reality of peace, wealth, and unmatched success.”

The entire universe runs on basic, unchanging laws—both physical and spiritual. At the heart of this system are balance and justice. Nature is never blind, and it is never unfair. If we look at human progress and success through the lens of logic, we see a clear picture based on two completely different lifestyles.

Imagine two people who start their lives in the exact same environment, with the same resources:

The first person wakes up at the break of dawn. His eyes are full of big dreams, and his determination is as strong as steel. He starts his day with a prayer, pouring all his energy into his work, his craft, and his daily hustle. Whether it is boiling hot or freezing cold, he builds his success with the sweat of his brow.

The second person stays snuggled in his warm bed until late afternoon. He finally wakes up when half the day is already gone. He only goes to work when he feels like it, and even then, he works without any passion, energy, or care.

Now, let’s ask ourselves a logical question: Do these two people deserve the exact same successful, peaceful, and happy life?

Common sense gives us a clear answer: Absolutely not. The law of nature never lets the hard work of a dedicated person go to waste, and it never rewards laziness. Success, respect, and financial comfort belong only to the first person—the one who respected time and used his TODAY to take action. The second person is bound to face a life of lack, regret, and backwardness. This is the balance of nature, which always favours action.

With this logical truth in mind, it is urgent to speak directly to the resilient and incredibly talented young generation of Kashmir.

O Youth of Kashmir! Your success, the preservation of your valley’s natural beauty and your future do not depend on some magical miracle. They depend entirely on your hard work. Remember, in the language of success, the word tomorrow does not exist. The alphabet of hard work begins and ends with just one word: TODAY.

It is a massive trap to hide laziness behind the excuse, “I will do this tomorrow.” Tomorrow never actually comes. All you truly own is this present moment—this very day. Any young person who sits idly today, trapped by procrastination (putting things off), will find no success waiting for them in the future.

This rule doesn’t just apply to single individuals. History shows that the futures of entire nations are rewritten by this exact law: Nations that slept through their TODAY were either wiped out from history or forced into modern slavery.

On the other hand, societies that lit up their TODAY with hard work, scientific research, and quick action are the ones leading the world right now.

In this modern era, we absolutely must change the common mindset among Kashmiri youth. By all means, study hard, get high degrees, and go to universities. However, the goal of education must never be reduced to just landing a government job.

What is the true purpose of education?

Education is the spark that wakes up your mind, expands your thinking, and frees your conscience so you can stand up for what is right. A degree is nothing more than a scrap of paper if it fails to teach you how to think creatively and independently. Do not limit your academic degrees to just applying for clerk or desk jobs in government departments. Waiting for the support of a government job is like letting your hidden talents rust. Public sector jobs are limited; they simply cannot employ all the youth in a society.

Step forward and dive into business and trade. Wake up the business owner inside you! Drop the misconception that starting a business requires millions of rupees. The history of global mega-companies shows that most of them started from humble garages and tiny rooms.

Kashmir is blessed with incredibly profitable areas that are perfect for small-scale startups, such as:

  • Handicrafts and Tourism
  • Horticulture (farming) and Saffron cultivation
  • Information Technology (IT) and Food processing

When you start a business, you don’t just create a job for yourself—you become the reason other young people in your community get employment. This is true success and financial freedom.

As you start this journey in business, keep two rules as your lifelong guide: relentless hard work and complete honesty.

In business, shortcuts or cheating might give you quick profits, but they always lead to total failure later. Honesty and truthfulness build a reputation that lasts forever in the market. Nature will test you. You will face obstacles, money problems, and hurdles—but this is just a test of how serious you are. Nature never abandons the honest and hardworking. Every drop of sweat and every moment of integrity will return to you multiplied as massive success.

We must face a bitter reality with courage: over the last 35 years, disturbance and violence have caused massive damage to our region. The heaviest blow was dealt directly to the Kashmir Valley and its people.

What did this culture of violence leave behind for Kashmir?

Schools and colleges were constantly closed, destroying the precious academic years of our youth. Our tourism, local businesses, and outside investments were crushed, wiping out jobs. Most tragically, the talent of our youth was wasted. The vibrant energy that should have gone into science, art, and building the region was instead lost to guns and gunpowder. This historical loss is huge, and the pain is still felt by every Kashmiri. However, crying over the past forever will not brighten the future.

The massive task of fixing these historical losses now rests directly on the shoulders of today’s youth. The time has come to replace the gun with the pen, the book, and the laptop. It is time to move past emotional speeches and face economic realities.

Today’s Kashmiri youth must realise that there is no time to stop or stand still. To fill the gap left by 35 years of unrest, you must run twice as fast as the rest of the world. The past cannot be brought back, and tomorrow is out of our hands. All that is real is TODAY. Start working today, master a modern skill today, and launch your business, shop, or academic project right now.

The world has become a highly connected global village. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information Technology, digital marketing, and advanced science have opened up massive doors for progress. Kashmiri youth do not lack brainpower. You must walk step-by-step with the global youth to pull Kashmir out of its struggles and raise it to the peak of success.

“Today is the Architect of Tomorrow” is not just a catchy phrase—it is our only path to survival and growth. Let us say goodbye to laziness, stop relying only on government jobs, study to open our minds, build an economic rebirth through local businesses, and step out of the dark shadows of past trauma.

When the youth of Kashmir masters the use of TODAY, Kashmir’s TOMORROW will naturally become a reality of peace, wealth, and unmatched success. Nature is waiting for your move, and it never fails those who dare to work hard!
