HAJIN: To promote artistic expression and nurture young talent, the School Education Department organized the Zonal Level Kala Utsav competition at PM Shri Middle School Gulshanabad, Hajin on Thursday.
This initiative, a key part of the Government of India’s efforts to foster creativity in students, attracted a large number of participants from various schools across the Hajin zone. The event was conducted by Zonal Cultural Coordinator Muntazir Muneer, with Mohammad Shafi, the headmaster of the host school, serving as the Chief Guest.
The competition featured a wide range of categories including Solo Dance, Vocal Music, Classical and Folk Dance, Skit, Visual Arts (2D/3D), Instrumental Music, Theatre, and Traditional Storytelling.
In the Boys’ Solo Song category, Government Higher Secondary School Naidkhai claimed first place, while in the Girls’ category, Government Higher Secondary School Shahgund secured the top spot. Government High School Vijpara won first place in Group Song, followed by Government Higher Secondary School Madwan in second place.
In the Arts/Drawing category, Qurat ul Ain emerged as the winner. The Theatre/Mimicry competition saw Government Higher Secondary School triumph. In the Solo Dance category, Abida secured first place.
The participants were evaluated by a panel of judges, and the winners will go on to represent the Hajin zone at the district level.
