My Youth My Pride: Selection trials for J&K Sub-Junior National Team conclude

SRINAGAR: The J&K Ball Badminton Association, under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative of the J&K Sports Council, successfully conducted selection trials for the J&K Sub-Junior National Team. The trials, held on Saturday at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar, were in preparation for the upcoming 43rd Sub-Junior National Ball Badminton Championship for Boys & Girls 2024-25, set to take place in Rohtak, Haryana, from September 25 to September 29, 2024.

The trials were conducted under the supervision of the J&K Sports Council, with Mr. Reyaz Ahmad Khan (Incharge, Bemina Stadium, Srinagar) serving as the observer. Other members included Mr. Ajaz Ahmad (Ground Incharge, Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar), Mr. Mohsin Farooq (Joint Secretary, JKBBA), and Mr. Tabish Mustafa Bhat (Member, JKBBA). The committee oversaw the trials and selected 15 boys and 15 girls from a pool of 25 boys and 20 girls to represent Jammu & Kashmir in the national championship.

The selected players are scheduled to participate in a residential coaching camp from August 26 to September 9, 2024, at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar. A final screening test by the J&K Sports Council is planned for September 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the same venue.

All selected players are required to report to the Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar, for the residential coaching camp and the final screening test at the specified dates and times. They must also bring their age proof certificates and two passport-size photographs.
