Pampore: In a decisive victory, Dr Hilal Joo has assumed the prestigious position of President for the Jammu and Kashmir State Branch of the Indian Dental Association (IDA). Following successful elections, Dr. Joo emerged as the leader of the dental community in the region.
The Indian Dental Association (IDA) Jammu and Kashmir State Branch held its Annual General Body Meeting for the election of office bearers for the upcoming year 2024 at Jahangir Hotel, Srinagar on December 10.
The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as Dr Hilal Joo took charge as the newly elected President, succeeding the outgoing President, Dr Nusrat Malik, a spokesperson of IDA told Kashmir Reader.
The Returning Officer, Dr Farooq Lone, announced the election results, declaring Dr Rouf Jeelani as the President-elect and Dr Now Shaba as the Vice President. The election process was closely observed by esteemed individuals, including Secretary Dr Javaid Qunango, outgoing President Dr Abdul Lateef Mattoo, and President of IDA Srinagar Branch, Dr Mudasir Khan.
The newly elected office bearers, representing various corners of the state, were announced, solidifying the leadership for the IDA J&K State Branch for the year 2024. Dr Hilal Joo, in his inaugural address, expressed gratitude to the voters who participated in the democratic process, acknowledging their presence from every nook and corner of the state.
