Two-Day District Srinagar Sqay Championship 2023 concludes

Srinagar: In an exhilarating culmination at the Indoor Stadium Ellahibagh Soura Srinagar on Thursday, the Two-Day 24th District Srinagar Sqay Championship 2023 concluded, drawing the participation of around 200 talented players, both boys and girls.
The Championship, organized by the District Srinagar SQAY Association under the aegis of the J&K Sqay Association, not only celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship but also encouraged a broader perspective on physical activities among the participants.
Dr. Baba Firdous, Chief of Kashmir Seva Sangh, graced the event as the chief guest, while Aadil Bhat, Founder of D-code Future, was the guest of honor during the closing ceremony. The ceremony was organized by Secretary Tariq Ahmad Mir, alongside other dignitaries present during the award ceremony.
Organising Secretary Sqay Association Srinagar Tariq Ahmad Mir told Kashmir Reader that 214 skilled players under different age categories from various parts of Srinagar district were to showcase their talent in the two days championship.
Bismillah Club Naid Kadal emerged victorious, clinching the overall championship, while Batul Memorial Institute Nawa Kadal secured the second position and Green Valley School Secured third position in the medal tally
The distinguished guests extended their congratulations to the organizing committee for successfully orchestrating the championship. They highlighted the event as an opportunity to transcend traditional games, providing a platform for participants to showcase their skills beyond the conventional sports arena.
The chief guest and guest of honour distributed medals among the winners of the Championship.
