Pampore celebrates as Suhail becomes Mr Kashmir

Pampore: An electrifying atmosphere filled the air in B-Fit Gym Pampore as a jubilant crowd gathered to celebrate the remarkable victory of Pampore youth Suhail Mohi-Ud-Din.
Dignitaries, supporters, and well-wishers came together to honour the local hero’s triumph in a grand felicitation ceremony.
The celebration event was organised by B-Fit Gym Pampore. The event was a testament to the dedication and hard work that Suhail put into his training.
The gym, which had been Suhail’s training ground, served as the perfect backdrop for this momentous occasion. Amidst the cheers and applause, Suhail was welcomed with open arms as he arrived at the venue.
The attendees were thrilled to see their champion in person, and a sense of pride swept through the crowd. The highlight of the evening was the cutting of a specially designed “Bodybuilder” cake in honour of Suhail’s accomplishments.
The cake, intricately crafted to resemble a muscular physique, was a symbol of the dedication and discipline that bodybuilding demands.
Addressing the crowd, Suhail expressed his gratitude to his trainers, supporters, and the people of Pampore and Wuyan for their unwavering encouragement throughout his journey. He emphasized the importance of fitness and hard work, encouraging the youth to pursue their dreams relentlessly.
Prominent figures from the region commended Suhail’s dedication and perseverance, citing him as an inspiration for the youth. The event not only celebrated a victory but also reinforced the belief that with determination, one can achieve greatness.
A celebration also took place in Suhail’s Wuyan village when news of his victory reached there.
The 25-year-old Suhail Mohi-Ud-Din, son of Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Joo, a resident of Wuyan Pampore became the first person of Pulwama district to win Mr Kashmir Title in the competition which was held in Srinagar recently.
Talking to Kashmir Reader, Suhail said he has been in bodybuilding since 2013 and it was the first time he took part in the competition.
“I am very happy to have won the competition at my very first attempt,” Suhail said, adding that he has been trained by his coach Mohammad Umar who supported him very much.
“In 2010, I started bodybuilding in Kashmir, and after 13 years, I participated for the first time, winning the Mr Kashmir competition. I’m proud of this achievement, and many people have appreciated me for bringing recognition to Wuyan,” he said, adding, “I also want to express my gratitude to B-FIT Gym, where I practice, for inviting me and hosting a great event. They have been very kind to me, and I’m thankful for their support.”
Coach Umar said, “Suhail and I were gym partners, but then Suhail decided to compete. He worked really hard and I followed suit. Thanks to Allah, he won the competition. He is the first person from Pulwama district to achieve this title, and it is all because of his hard work and dedication.”
The first edition of the Sultan Classic 2023 Bodybuilding Championship and Men’s Physique Sports was held recently at Tagore Hall Srinagar.
Suhail was awarded a Rs 31,000 cash prize and a stack worth Rs 50,000, he said. The event was organised by AHP Vitals and Planet Nutrition.
