3 Bn CRPF’s 15-day tailoring course for widows, poor concludes in Bandipora

Bandipora: A 15-day tailoring course for poor and needy women organized by the 3 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force under the civic action proramme culminated on Thursday here.
The training programme was organised at Employment Office Dachigam, Bandipora, where 20 poor and needy women including widows from nearby villages participated.
The aim of the programme was to train ladies from low-income groups and deprived classes to make them self-reliant and enhance their earning capacity. They successfully learnt, to run sewing machines, tailoring and stitching.
At the closing ceremony, five participants were gifted with sewing machines to earn their livelihood.
The recipient ladies expressed their deep gratitude toward 3 BN CRPF and said that now they can earn money using the sewing machines and it will be helpful to arrange bread and butter and education for their kids.
On the occasion, Mahendra Kumar, Commandant 3 Bn CRPF, in his address emphasized women’s empowerment and self-reliance. He said that 3 BN CRPF will continue to help the people of Bandipora in future also, such and different job-oriented training programmes will be organized to uplift the poor and deprived people. The training program was well applauded and appreciated by the civil societies of Bandipora.
Mahendra Kumar, Imtiyaz Ahmad, JKAS, ADC Bandipora, Tariq Ahmad, JKAS Tehsildar, Bandipora, and officers of the battalion were present during the closing ceremony.
