Director Samarga Shiksha, CEO Pulwama distribute aids, appliances among special-children

Pampore: Project Director Samagra Shiksha, Deep Raj and Chief Education Officer (CEO) Pulwama Abdul Qayoom Nadvi distributed aids and appliances among the children with special needs, in Pampore and Kakapora education zones on Wednesday.
The distribution cum fitment camp was held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest Project Director Samagra Shiksha in the presence of CEO Pulwama.
The programme was organised by Directorate of Samagra Shiksha, J&K in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), the officials told Kashmir Reader.
ZEO Pampore, Principal BHSS Pampore Mohammad Amin and other officers of the education and other departments as well as staff of the institution and parents, relatives of the special children attended the function.
About 65 specially-abled children of both Pampore and Kakapora education zones were provided relevant aids and appliances as per the need already assessed by the teams of professionals and experts from ALIMCO in the previously organised assessment camp.
The aids and appliances include tricycle conventional, wheelchairs folding (child size), wheelchairs folding (adult size), CP chairs, MR kits, digital type hearing aids, brail kits, Sugumya cane, daisy player, crutch elbow adjustable, rollators size 1 and 2, AFO II and III, KAFO I and II and other appliances for visually impaired students.
